Due to state laws regarding out of state adoptions, we cannot adopt to families in Massachusetts or Rhode Island.
Cindy is an adorable 10 week old australian shepherd/heeler mix puppy. She was found as a stray and we did not see either parent so breed is an educated guess made by our veterinarian and is NOT a guarantee - this also means we have no way of knowing what her adult size will be.
Cindy is a very precious girl and needs a fantastic home because she is special needs. Cindy is deaf but she has no idea that she is different than her siblings! She is a loving and playful girl who does great with other dogs, cats, and children. She is currently being fostered in Mississippi and will be transported via Pet Express transport services upon adoption. Her adoption fee is $400 and includes spay, age appropriate vaccinations, a nose to tail vet check, and transport costs.
Second Chances lists dogs as being available in Kittery, ME because we transport our dogs to Kittery every other week after they have been adopted. All of our local shelters have a high euthanasia rate due to overpopulation so we created our rescue group to primarily adopt to the northern states to help keep as many dogs as we can from entering our kill shelters.
