Interested in adoption? The first step is an application at www.paddyspaws.blogspot.com. Please do not apply if pets in the home are not up to date per our website requirements or are not altered. Wisconsin applications are priority, but Illinois applications will be considered if no small children are present in the home, the home is owned, and excellent vet reference can be provided. We cannot process applications from other states.
Jonah is currently living in a foster home in Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin.
Jonah was rescued from the Harris County animal shelter just in time before Hurricane Harvey hit. He is a little over a year old, and is a big boy weighing 70 lbs. He has long legs and puppy energy so he really loves going on long walks or runs, playing with other dogs, and chewing on bones or toys. He’s a smart boy, and already knows some basic commands like “sit” and come. He is potty trained and will alert you when he needs out. He stays in a larger indoor kennel while we are at work and would benefit from some basic training classes. . He does well with kids, teens, and adults. He is a big boy, so smaller kids may be knocked over by his excitement. He needs plenty of space to run and play, so he would enjoy a home with a large yard that is securely fenced. If you’re an active person/family looking for a handsome pup to be your loyal best friend, Jonah is the guy for you!
Our process includes an approved application, reference checks, a home visit and a meet and greet.
Please note that preference will be given to Wisconsin adoptions, but out of state adoptions will be considered. Adoption fee is $250.00.
