My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This dog is being fostered in Dallas TX and must be adopted within the Dallas, North Central Texas or the southern Oklahoma area.

NAME: Rose
GENDER: Female (Spayed)
AGE: About 3 Years
WEIGHT: About 7 Pounds
DOGS/CATS Great with other small dogs, Unknown with cats
CHILDREN: Will be fine in a home with children (12 and older)

Introducing sweet Rose. This girl is as beautiful as a perfect rose, and we know that your family will cherish her.

Rose and her sisters were turned in to a local shelter. We believe they were being raised by a Chihuahua breeder. There were over 10 dogs turned in at once from this family. All the dogs appear to be pure Chihuahua. These little ones were a bit shy the first few days but their personalities are really beginning to bloom as they get personalized attention!

Rose has a very sweet submissive personality. She took a few days to warm up in her foster home, but now she is settling in like she has always belonged there. She loves her humans and enjoys being held and cuddled. We see this affection coming out more and more as she gets comfortable with her new surroundings. We think she will make a great lap dog.

Rose also gets along well with the other dogs in her foster home. We are waiting for her to go all in on the playing. But for now, she is comfortable about fitting in to the pack! She would probably be fine in a home with other small dogs, or even as an only dog as long as her humans had time to cuddle with her and love her!

Rose is not potty trained yet. But she is learning very quickly and has already learned to use a pee pee pad. She will sleep in a crate at night. Rose is smart, and we believe she will pick up the routines quickly as she learns how to be a secure family member versus the way she was raised in a breeding mill.

Rose has an amazing red and coat. She is a perfect 7 pounds and is fully grown. Rose is about 3 years old. Due to Rose's shy personality, we recommend an all adult home, or a home with older, mature children.

Rose is being fostered in the Dallas, Texas area. If he sounds like the new best friend you've been looking for, please fill out an application! Our CRT adoption form can be found at: http://www.chihuahua-rescue.com/adoption-application/

Rose is spayed, micro chipped, up-to-date on shots, HW negative. and on heartworm prevention. She is ready to join a loving family - could that family be yours?
