My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

BETTY is a five-year-old female calico cat. Betty was found in a foreclosed house; the real estate agent who stopped in to see it heard her distressed crying. We have no idea how long Betty was there without food or water; when she came to us she had a matt so severe on her back that it was causing her intense pain. We had to shave her back to free the mat from its forceful pull on her skin and to alleviate the pain. Betty loves visitors, and cries to be stroked. She’s very vocal, and loves to talk. Betty will need time and patience in her new home, because she still carries bad memories of her experience. Betty is becoming more relaxed and affectionate as time distances her from those bad memories and the pain she suffered. We can’t wait to see her settled in a loving and secure home; we think she’ll be an incredible companion given time and patience. Come meet her and see!

At PAAWS RI, all of the cats that come into our care are spayed/neutered, receive a rabies vaccination, distemper vaccinations, de-worming, flea treatment, microchipping, testing for Feline Leukemia/FIV, and a fecal test.
