My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

NOTE: We adopt only in the Greater St. Louis Area.

Joey in the words of his foster parents: "Joey is a lovable little guy that wants to be near his humans. He loves getting petted and loved on, and he enjoys hanging out in the yard. He gets along well with his foster brother, but I don't think he would mind being the center of attention in an only dog household either.

“Joey has yet to master the English language, but that doesn't stop him from telling you what's on his mind. He lets out an occasional howl or bark, but only because he thinks he's got something important to say. He loves staring out the window at the busy street and he quietly watches the cars, walkers and bikers go by.

“He loves meeting new people (more hands to pet him), and he also has been fine when meeting new dogs. Joey prefers to chew on his Nylabone but he has been known to roll around like a goof with his squeaky toys as well.

“Joey has also been fantastic at taking his medicine. No need to get fancy, simply drop the pill in his meal and watch him go to town.

“As far as loud noises go, I don't think Joey will be going on duck hunts anytime soon, but he doesn't get distracted by or seem to be afraid of all the sounds of living on a busy street. I'd say he's a pretty normal dog with regards to that. He also doesn't seem to be phased by thunderstorms."

Joey is approximately seven years old. He's a calm little guy with a sense of humor. He is house and crate trained, micro-chipped, and neutered. Joey does have hypothyroid disease. It is easily controlled with his med. The cost is only $6.00 a month.

Note that we ONLY adopt in the Greater St. Louis Area. We do not adopt to homes with small children, and we do require a fenced yard.
