Here's what the humans have to say about me:
River is a 2 year old purebred male whippet that's available for adoption through no fault of his own. He's sweet dog that is currently in the same loving home that he's been in since puppyhood. Unfortunately, River is just not comfortable living with a large number of high energy dogs. They make him nervous and anxious. For this reason, although River gets along with other dogs fine, he will do best as an only dog, or in a home with other gentle, like-minded dogs (preferably other sighthounds). River is a happy dog that enjoys walks and playing in the yard, but he would also happily be a 24/7 couch potato if that is all you're looking for. He's very loyal and will be someone's very best friend.
River is neutered, microchipped, heartworm negative and current on all vaccines and preventatives. He is housebroken and crate trained, though he really is not fond of being confined to a crate. He's not destructive, and does fine if left loose.
