Well, HOWDY Y'all! My name's Spanky, and I'm a 1-year-old, 65-pound Labrador mix. And what a difference a week makes! A few weeks ago, I was sitting in a kill shelter for no good reason with time running out, and then I moved to a boarding facility, and about a week ago traveled all the way to the TC area to finally meet my forever family! Might that be with you? The hurricane has done a number on my hometown, but happily, I got out! I'm a very young boy, so you can bet your sweet bippy I'm going to need lots of exercise! I can't wait for you to take me on long walks, maybe even some runs here and there, and out for adventures on the town! I would love checking out some of the local parks and hiking trails so I can make some new doggie friends, and I might even enjoy playing in some creeks or at the gorges, or playing fetch with you in the backyard. On the other hand, after a long day of playing and working all this big puppy fizz out of my system, I sure am looking forward to a cozy bed of my own where I can take a load off and dream about how much my life has improved since I found you! Aw, Man! That sounds just about perfect. I love kids, so if you've got 'em, I say the more, the merrier! I'm fine around cats, but currently do not live with them. And, of course, I can't wait for you to sign me up for some obedience classes so I can continue to work on all my commands and manners, and show you what a polite young man I am.
