My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Topaz is currently staying at the Jamison Pet Valu hoping to meet her new furever family!

Hi everyone! My name is Topaz and I am beautiful female brown tabby kitty, and though my past has been a bit scary, I am learning to trust again. A kind woman took me and so many more homeless cats and kittens off the streets in an area of SW Philly where humans sadly have been known to hurt us. With no resources or contacts to help us find a deserving family, she reached out to Kitty Junction for help as she was struggling to provide food and vet care for all for us. Sadly due to circumstances that had nothing to do with me, I have been bounced from foster home to foster home 4 times. It has been difficult for me to build up a trust and become confident in my surroundings so I can be very shy in the beginning until I get to know you.

I like to spend my days perched in the cat tree or spying on the birds out the window. My favorite toy is a stuffed blue mouse! I like to carry it around, sit on it, flop on it, and attack! My absolute favorite thing to do is being brushed. I could spend all day with someone brushing my back, head, chin, and everywhere in between. If you want to brush me, you just have to show me the brush and I will come running! I will purr non-stop so you never stop brushing😊 I can be very shy in the beginning with people I don’t know but with lots of love and patience I will show you how happy I am that I am with you! I am also still trying to learn that furniture is something I am allowed on. My foster parents always pet me when I join them on the couch, but being up there is still a little scary. I am learning to trust more and more every day. I am looking for a home that can give me the attention I deserve but also the patience I need. Once I come around to you I promise to love you endlessly and that I am definitely worth the wait!

If you could find it in your heart to be my saving angel, please don't hesitate to fill out an adoption application for me at www.KittyJunction.org or if you have any questions at all about me please email KittyJunction@aol.com!!
