My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

.Meet Panda Bear, she is a 2 year old pure bred Siberian husky. She is 39.9 pounds thin needs another 20 pounds on her so we are working on it. Like most sweet babies she comes with a sad story. I was on my way to work out on the farm in a rural country area. When I saw a dog I'd never seen before afraid and thin so I stopped and got her into my car. There was a couple walking I asked if she was there dog they told me she had came up to their house about a week ago. They did not want her because their dog was Territorial and did not like her. I asked if I could have her and they happily agreed. I took her home and since I am in rescue I thought just maybe she is microchipped. So I scanned her and sure enough she had a microchip. It took a little time to get the owner’s information and to find out that her name is Panda. I finally got in touch with the owner, hoping for a happy reunion. Unfortunately it did not work out that way the owner explained that she had got Panda as a puppy. She loved her very much. She was training her to be an emotional support dog. Panda knows Sit ,Stay, and was working on other commands. The owner explained unfortunate circumstances come up where they were no longer able to care for panda. As much as it broke her heart she had to find a new home for her. The owner gave Panda to a lady who she thought would take care of her. The next day the girl was calling saying she could not keep Panda she had to return her the owner told her that was not possible we can only assume what happened after that. The owner signed Panda over to the Hickman Humane Society in hopes that we could find her a loving forever home that she really deserves. Panda is house broke, crate trained, and walks on leash. Panda is great with children. She grew up with kids from ages 2,5,8,10. Panda REALLY loves children! She is NOT good with cats NO cats!!! Panda is good with other dogs, and loves toys. She likes to sleep in the bed with you. She likes to be brushed. She enjoys riding in the car. She is a very smart and special girl. She does not like her ears touched and hates storms. Panda is a very fast runner as her breed is known for. If she is off leash or gets out of the yard she will take off running and not come back so whoever adopts her needs to have knowledge of the Breed and MUST have fenced in yard. I promised Pandas owners and made a promise to Panda that we would find her the very best home we could full of love just like she deserves. Panda wants a home with kids, love and someone home with her like she is use to. This girl is full of love and energy.

Her adoption fee is $300.00 fully vetted and Microchipped.
