My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Torah. Torah is about 8 to 10 years old. She has been felv/fiv tested (negative), spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and had a dental procedure.

We wonder why Torah is overlooked for adoption. She is very outgoing and personable and at our adoption days she greets customers while walking on her leash. We are guessing that people are worried about her age. Don't let Torah's age fool you. She is a playful kitty. She is not nonstop energy of course as that of a young cat, but she still loves to play with catnip filled toys and she will carry those around the house while loudly meowing. Torah tolerates other cats as long as they give her space - she's not best friends but coexists nicely. She also tolerates well-mannered dogs. She absolutely loves attention and what a lapcat! She loves to be with her people. Torah came to us from a rural shelter where cat adoptions are very, very slow. It's hard to believe that Torah spend almost two years at her previous shelter. She came to us in hopes that she will have better luck finding a permanent home through Cause for Paws. Torah is very interested in the doors leading to the outside. She doesn't make a dash to go outside but if the door is held open for a period of time, she may take advantage of that. Because of this we feel that she should not go to a home with small children as they wouldn't understand that the cat cannot go outside.

Cause for Paws is a small all-volunteer Minnesota nonprofit 501 (c) (3) group whose main focus is on finding homes for stray and abandoned cats and kittens. Cause for Paws fosters these cats in our own private homes, we don't have a central facility. To find out more, please email Cause for Paws at cause4paws@hotmail.com or call us at 952-259-1483. The adoption fee is $140. Thank you.
