Buttercup is a lovely cat who has overcome a lot and has such a strong will to life and please. Buttercup loves people! She loves cuddling and purring and being loved. She never seems to get enough, and would let you pet her all day if you have the time. She is not annoying or needy though when she doesn't get the attention! She loves to give whisker kisses and she gently kneads you! Also, she has the oddest meow - more of a grumble squawk, but she is so happy!

She lives with dogs, and also really likes them a lot. She lives with cats, but would prefer to be the only one. She will grumble and hiss at them if they encroach on her human attention, but is never aggressive. She would blossom as the only feline in the home where she can be the spoiled princess!

Buttercup has a funny gait because she has an autoimmune disease of the joints. She will require a special adopter who understands and recognizes her special needs: a lifetime steroid medication is required with possibility of relapse requiring higher dose and pain meds to get past episode. One half pill once a day (which never can be missed, but is easy to give!). Please no young kids in her home as this handling could be too rough for her with her deteriorate joints.

Her foster family shares: "I have never met a friendlier loveable cat and she just has a heart of gold despite all the pain and health concerns she has had in her short life.
