Wisconsin applications are priority, but Illinois applications will be considered if no small children are present in the home, the home is owned, and excellent vet reference can be provided. We cannot process applications from other states.

Hi I'm Arnie! I'm the perfect dog to make part of your family, especially a first time dog owning family! I'm very affectionate and loving playing with my person. I'm getting more confident around people we meet on walks or at the park, but I LOVE when people come visit me and my person at home. When I'm nervous I lean on my person for comfort, but once I'm comfortable I love playing with every person and dog I meet. I do well on a leash, and as long as I've had some exercise I go right in to my crate when my person leaves. I'm picking up cues very quickly, and am motivated by praise and affection, so I'll be a total breeze to train. When it's time to relax or go to bed I love being right next to someone, so hopefully you like lapdogs who love kisses! Once I feel comfortable with someone I bond with them tightly. My combination of size, personality, energy level, and intelligence would make me great for a less experienced family or I could make an easy addition for an experienced family.
Arnie was found as a stray in a local small town. He and his buddy appeared to have been dropped off and were seen for a week in the neighborhood. Arnie is a friendly dog who loves to play fetch and run after the ball. He gets along with other dogs. Arnie is a little over a year old and weighs almost 33 lbs.
Our process includes an approved application, reference checks, a home visit and a meet and greet.
Please note that preference will be given to Wisconsin adoptions, but out of state adoptions will be considered. Adoption fee is $250.00.
