My story

Meet Spinner!
Spinner is about a year old and weighs 39 lbs.
When we first met Spinner at the Shelter, he was very scared and timid for such a young pup but you could tell right off the bat that he really wanted to be loved and have someone teach him how to trust humans. He had befriended one of the Shelter workers and just acted with pure delight when ever he saw him so we felt he was very worth giving him a chance for a new Life!
We are really not sure what he is mixed with but he is very cute with medium length fur.
Spinner enjoys going for walks, hanging around the house and playing. He loves other dogs and plays with them but also is very good at entertaining himself by throwing his toys around and chasing and catching them. He is super smart!
Spinner is also very good with cats but entirely too afraid of children. He needs a calm and confident owner or family who is willing to continue working with him and let him understand that he is safe.
He has come such a long way in the months that we have had him and he has come to trust and love his foster mom. We realize that it will take the right and willing owner to continue with his success at being a well rounded little man and feel safe, happy and loved. SO...if you have a big heart and are interested in meeting Spinner, please go to k9newlife.org and fill out our online adoption application!
ALL OF OUR DOGS ARE IN INDIVIDUAL FOSTER HOMES AND REQUIRE AN APPOINTMENT FOR A MEET AND GREET!

Why adoption is a great option

Spinner, a Virginia Beach Spaniel (Unknown Type)/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Spaniel (Unknown Type)/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) for sale in Virginia Beach, or seeking a Spaniel (Unknown Type)/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) dog from a breeder in Virginia Beach.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Virginia Beach already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Virginia Beach breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Spaniel (Unknown Type)/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) breeders who help with Spaniel (Unknown Type)/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Virginia Beach paves the way for another one to be saved.
