My story

Hi there! I'm Michael, and I'm a sweet-tempered, easy-going black and white bi-color fella who was born in May 2017. I surprise my foster mom with gentle nudges when she wakes up with me beside her in the morning. I'm a gentle, shy boy who enjoys time with my best buddy Malcolm.
My foster mom rescued me as well as my pals Malcolm and Maxwell from a hardscrabble street life. I took immediately to living indoors with all its special perks like brimming bowls of daily food and clean water as well as romping with toys and other furry friends.
As much as I love my foster home, I'm wishing for a home of my very own. I'm sure that a lot of families would welcome a sweet, laid-back dude like me, so come meet me today! I'm particularly bonded to Malcolm, and although we are available individually, it would be great if you'd consider adopting us together. Two is double the fun, and we could keep each other company while you are at work or on vacation!!
Michael is updated on shots, neutered, dewormed, microchipped, FIV/ FeLV negative, and ready for his indoor-only home. No de-clawing permitted. His adoption fee is $100 ($175 for the bonded pair with Malcolm), cash or check payable to Buster's Friends. Please click the contact button if you are interested in Michael, and we can let you know exactly where you can meet him.

More about this rescue

Busters Friends, Inc. is a rescue group and non-profit 501c3 organization dedicated to helping homeless and abandoned adult dogs and cats as well as puppies and kittens find permanent homes through our network of foster homes. We are not a shelter or facility, and all animals in our program are fostered by individuals who keep the animal in their residence until it is adopted. This foster care gives them specialized care in a nurturing home environment. Busters Friends was created in memory of Jennifer Fields, who spent countless hours rescuing and fostering hundreds of Houston’s homeless animals prior to losing her battle to cancer in May 2009. As a tribute to Jennifer and her dedication, we named the group after her beloved dog Buster, who made the journey to the Rainbow Bridge in August 2008.
