Here's Heath! He's a young adult mix, possibly Australian Shepherd/Border Collie. This guy is still basically a pup. He's friendly, energetic, playful, and a little bit of a spazz. He was found with a female Pit Bull Blend (Candy Corn, also available for adoption), and no one came to claim the pair. Heath is a nice medium size, with a slender build. He has a beautiful coat, and a curly tail. He's scheduled for neuter 11/9/17, and will be adoptable 11/11/17. If you're up for some puppy antics, and aren't afraid of a little fur, you should come out and meet Heath! Born Again Pit Bull Rescue (BAPBR) regularly works with the wonderful volunteers at the Del Norte County Animal Control Shelter located out in rural Crescent City, CA (a small coastal town on the OR/CA border). They have a very small shelter with small indoor 3x6 kennel runs, low foot traffic, odd adoption viewing hours and it rains a lot which means the dogs can’t always come outside to play -- so we want YOU to see some of their really great dogs that they have up for adoption -- it's only a short 5-hour drive from Portland to adopt your new family member!
Del Norte County Animal Control is located in Crescent City, CA. They are open Monday – Friday from 8am to 5pm. They are closed Saturday and Sunday.

Adoption fees are between $15 - $95 depending on if the dog has been previously spayed/neutered and if you are adopting in Del Norte County or out of the county.
We pre-screen adopters interested in the Pit Bull Terriers at Del Norte Animal Control, and an adoption application will be required from those interested in providing a fab furever home.
