My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Not only does D stand for Delaney, it stands for:

Darling: The way she perks up her ears; the freckles on her ear, her spotted pink and brown nose, and her little moan when she snuggles against you.
Dazzling: Those golden eyes of hers
Dainty: The way she walks, trots, plays fetch, gives kisses, and even drinks.
Delightful: Her little personality; tail is always wagging.
Dedicated: She wants to be by your side every step of the way.
Doting: The way she loves to take care of everybody, whether two legs or four
Dutiful: She loves to get your shoes (or even dirty socks) for you, and is the peacemaker when her fursiblings are playing too rough
DESERVING: of a loving home who will cherish this oh so sweet girl who has a heart bigger than Texas.

She has tested positive for heartworms and has begun slow kill treatment; however, so do not let that deter you. All meds will be provided at no extra cost to her adoptive family, and once treated, heartworms are 100% preventable.

The shelter software system requires us to choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most of our dogs we are only guessing predominant breed or breed mix. We encourage you to select your new companion by considering each dog's individual personality and pet qualities instead of relying on a breed label that is only a guess.
