Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Nubbins!
Nubbins is an 11 wk old Black Labrador Retriever Mix. He is 10 lbs of puppy energy and is looking for a home that will keep him active. He loves playing fetch with tennis balls and can entertain himself with his sqeaky toys. He is tolerant in his crate or gated in another room but prefers to be out and active with his people. He is more than willing to snuggle with you on the sofa or lay at your feet. He will follow you from room to room to be nearby.
Nubbins is good with other dogs and cats and with children but because of his high energy level he should be monitored around smaller children. He would absolutely love another non agressive med - large dog to roll around and play with. He is a very submissive little guy and doesn’t hesitate to roll over and show his belly during play or for an anytime belly rub.
His favorite treats are a frozen peanut butter filled kong or retriever rolls, these will keep him entertained for hours.
Still working on house-training but Nubbins is getting better every day, we have almost eliminated accidents by teaching him to go on potty pads and going outside every few hours giving positive praise for “potty outside”.
Nubbins is super smart and has already picked up on basic commands like sit, come, go outside and crate.
This sweetheart is a people pleaser once you earn his trust there isn’t anything he wouldn’t do for you, he is going to make someone a very happy “fur”ever addition, could it be you?
Nubbins' adoption fee is $350 and he is being fostered in Oak Creek, WI. Because all our Cupids are fostered in private homes, an approved application MUST be on file before proceeding with a meet-and-greet. The online application can be found at http://www.caninecupids.org/adopt-.html.

Our Thoughts on Visual Breed Identification:
Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable. For most of our adoptable Cupids we are only guessing at the predominant breed or breed mix. We think it’s most important is to get to know each dog as an individual! We then do our best to describe each of our adoptable Cupids based on their personalities in order to determine whether they’ll make good companions based on prospective adopters’ lifestyles. Dog behavior is not exclusive to breed — it’s a complex mix of nature and nurture.
