About Kirby!:
Kirby is a 1 year old Shih Tzu / Maltese. He weighs 11 lbs and is full grown. Kirby is currently in a foster home with all adults, but would do well with considerate children older than 10 year old. Kirby has an easy going temperament and would adapt easily to a new home. He is young and still considered to be a puppy so he needs a home that will continue to work with him and provide him with structure. While he is a happy boy and would make a good lively companion for someone he is not interested in solely being a lap dog he would be very bored. He enjoys going on outings to pet friendly establishments where he can meet new people and engage in socializing with others maybe even play dates. He enjoys leash walks, playing with balls and toys. No apartments please. Kirby needs a yard that is completely fenced so he can run and play. He will do well in a home with other dogs that are small or under 30 lbs. He is a smart boy and it will be important to continue to expand his knowledge of the commands he already knows. Kirby is eager to be taught new commands so he can grow into a polite adult, he has mastered sit and working on down. He will also sit and wait until his food bowl is put down before eating. An ideal home for Kirby would be a family willing to include him in their outings. Adopter for Kirby must reside in the immediate Houston area and be at least 25 years of age. No exceptions. The adoption fee for Kirby is $350.00. Kirby has been seen by a veterinarian and is healthy. He is fully vetted and up to date on all his shots. He is on heartworm prevention and flea prevention. Kirby has also been neutered.
