My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Buddy the cat!

Buddy is a handsome grey tabby cat with white paws and belly. He is only 2-3 years old and he is a true companion and friend looking for a forever home where he can build forever friendships and spent days snuggling with people. He is easy-going cat with a dog alike personality. He loves to snuggle and follow people around the house but at the same time he enjoys long naps on soft blanket or windowsill watching birds.

He is very social, and enjoys greeting everyone while waiting for his daily snack of chicken (his foster mom says he loves canned chicken and canned tune or canned food a lot)!

thats what his foster mom wrote about Buddy: "Buddy could be an only cat......he's sweet, quiet and loves a hug. He eats chicken.............I actually buy him Trader Joe's chicken.

Buddy is beautiful, healthy and loves to eat. He's quite and not demanding except for his food.

He had been found on someone's doorstep in Merion and I took him because they were allergic to cats.

He's pretty much of a longer, but could be with another cat or perhaps a dog. He was sitting next to a dog when I took him. I would suggest if anyone is interested, that they come over to meet him”.

Buddy is playful, social and I will race to the front door to greet you when you come home! I am very interactive, social and love to be with people a lot, see what they are up to and stick my little nose into everything you do and everywhere you go. I love nothing more than being petted and snuggle.

I am a people's cat. So laying curled up on your lap and snuggling is my favorite thing in the world.

I am very smart, kind and have great funny personality.

I have a kind disposition. I am the best couch/bed buddy.

I also enjoy lounging around and my favorite spot is a windowsill where I enjoy looking at birds.

I am litter box trained!

I am trained to use my scratching post and I love it, I use corrugated cardboard scratchers and I love cat tree, if you can get me a nice steady (remember I am a big boy so cat tree has to be very steady) multiple level cat tree next to a sunny window- I will be a super happy boy!

Buddy is Neutered. FIV/Felv negative.

He is litter box trained, uses scratching post.

*A "Courtesy Listing" is a posting for a cat that is not part of Cat Chance Rescue. An individual owner or rescuer asked our rescue to post the kitty to give him/her greater exposure and chances for adoption. Cat Chance Rescue does not have any direct knowledge of the cat, his/her behavior, or medical background. The cat is adopted directly from the owner/rescuer, and any fees or agreements are arranged with the mutual consent of the owner and adopter. Cat Chance Rescue is happy to offer COURTESY POSTINGS to help in the search for a loving, permanent home for any needy cat.

Adoption Process

INCLUDED IN ADOPTION:

All our cat(s) and kitten(s) are vaccinated (Distemper, Rabies shots), Spayed/Neutered, tested for FIV/FeLV, microchiped, dewormed and deflead prior to Adoption.

To get started with the adoption process, and schedule a visit with a cat, please fill out our Adoption Application via link below:

https://form.jotform.com/200077523691049

OUR ADOPTION FEES:
$95.00 per kitten/young cat (under 1 year old) x $160.00 for a pair of kittens
$85.00 per adult cat (over 1 year old) x $150.00 for a pair

Thanks for your interest in adopting your future friend! All of our cats and kittens are housed in individual foster homes (not a shelter). Please contact us if you have any questions regarding our cats or kittens and to fill out an Adoption Application, which our adoption coordinator will email to you.

If you have any questions, please email us: catchancerescue@gmail.com

The adoption process:

1) You fill out an Adoption Application.

2) Our Adoption Coordinator contacts you via email to let you know the application has been received and calls you with questions about your application, checks references, and discusses which cats/kittens might be a good match.

3) If the application is approved, the Adoption Coordinator will put you in touch with the appropriate foster home(s) so you can schedule a time to meet the cats/kittens that interest you most.
Once you meet the cats/kittens you’d like to adopt, you let the foster parent and Adoption Coordinator know your choice.

4) We bring the foster cat/kitten(s) to your home and do a walk through your home to make sure your home is safe for a pet.

5) Adoption contract is signed, adoption fee is paid, and we give you information to help your new family member settle in. We can provide the information about the cat/kitten(s) diet, preventative veterinary care, training...

And if you have any question a week, a month, or a year after adoption, we are here to help! If for some reason the adoption doesn’t work out, we always take the cat/kitten back.

More about this rescue

Cat Chance Rescue is a non-profit, small, all volunteer rescue group dedicated to helping cats and kittens find their forever homes.
We believe “Every Cat Deserves a Chance”.
All our cats and kittens are Spayed/Neutered, up to date on Distemper and Rabies shots, tested for FIV/FeLV, microchiped, dewormed and deflead prior to adoption.
We are no-kill rescue and all our cats and kittens are cared for in loving foster homes until placed into forever homes.

Cat Chance Rescue is a group dedicated and committed to promoting pet spay and neuter. We provide information to educate individuals and communities of the importance of responsible pet ownership. We concentrate on spaying and neutering feral cat colonies under TNR (trap-neuter-return) program. This practice reduces unwanted litters.
