Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Pogo is a precious 11 pound Schnoodle who is approximately 5 to 6 years old. The poor little guy was found roaming the streets in the neighborhood. He was covered in fleas and his fur was matted. After a warm bath, grooming, lots of love, and plenty of treats, he is now happy, healthy, and ready to find his forever home. Pogo is a lap dog, through and through. There is nothing he enjoys more than being with his people as a part of their daily lives. He has a very sweet personality, loves belly rubs, and snuggling up by your side. He is in a home with four other dogs and he gets along great with all of them. He loves going on walks, and runs little circles to get to the door. However, he gets a little too excited to get out of the door, which is probably how he ended up a stray. His foster mom is extra cautious for this reason, so he would need a home with secure front porch or yard. Pogo quickly mastered using a doggie door, but is not a fan of the dog crate. Due to his coat, Pogo will need regular professional grooming.
We are a RESCUE GROUP, not a shelter, and all of our animals are in foster homes. To start the adoption process, email us at adoptions@earstexas.org requesting an application. Submitting an application does not commit you in any way, but helps us make the best match between people and our available dogs. Your current or past dogs must be inside dogs who have been spayed/neutered and are on heartworm prevention. All of the dogs in our program are inside dogs and are completely vetted including all vaccinations, spayed/neutered, free of internal parasites, microchipped, heartworm negative and on prevention before adoption. Our adoption process includes an application, check of vet records or personal references, interview, neutral site meet & greet with the dog and your family, and a home visit.
