Hi my name is Marla and I am a sweet 4 year old "couch potato" who is looking for my forever home. I am a skittish girl, but once you gain my trust I am a love bug. My foster parents have been working with me on my socialization skills and I have made a lot of progress. I can be the only dog or I can have a playmate or two, but having another friendly dog around will likely help with my socialization. I am learning what toys are and love to play with them. I love kids (should be older kids familiar with beagles since toddlers and the quick movements of very young kids will likely be overwhelming) and do well with my pre-teen foster brother.
As for housetraining, I am doing pretty well! I keep my crate clean, but I get a bit stressed out being in there. Having a family with a schedule to housetrain me where I don't need to be crated will likely be the best for me. I ABSOLUTELY need to have a fenced in yard since I am skittish and I tend to bolt and run. I don’t mean to run, but I am afraid of noises, so adopters familiar with this tendency and able to take the right precautions will be ideal. I love to relax by the fire but also LOVE the couch. If you are an experienced beagle adopter with a quieter home looking to put time into a super sweet love bug, please consider me for your forever home. You won’t be disappointed.
