Here's what the humans have to say about me:
ChiChi is an adorable, playful, gentle, friendly and active, five-year-old, male chinchilla with incredibly soft fur looking for a loving guardian.
ChiChi was given up to rescue when his family could no longer care for him. Chinchillas can be long-term companions living on average 15 to 22 years.
He has a diet of mostly hay, Oxbow chinchilla pellets, an occasional foraging treat and fresh water.
Chinchillas are native to the Andes mountains of northern Chile. They are agile and able to jump around mountain peaks and their dense fur protects them from the cold.
Chinchillas are actually an endangered species in the wild because they were hunted for their fur. They were brought to America to make fur coats and the breeders were so enamored with how sweet and adorable they were that they also turned them into pets.

He comes complete with a four-level cage, pellets, hay, treats, water bottle, litter, dust bath, carrying case - everything you need to care for him. His adoption fee of $100 benefits the Friends of Petraits rescue group.
