My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

**applicants must be in a 2 hr driving range from Toronto/Hamilton/Niagara area as we do home visits ourselves with our dogs**

LeRoy is a beautiful 4 yr old male Shih Tzu and weighs about 16 lbs (he's a big boy). He was surrendered by his owner due to having a toddler in the house that LeRoy didn't like very much. LeRoy will need an experienced owner as he will try to show dominance and nip at people when he thinks he's being bothered. So far this hasn't manifested in his foster home where he is shown he isn't the boss. Due to this, he will not go to a home with children. We have learned that LeRoy attaches to one person and then becomes overprotective. For this reason he will need a one person home. On is positive side, he loves to cuddle, walks great on a leash, good in the car, gets along with most other dogs AND, is completely house trained! He will come to you and bark to go outside, be fed, or for permission to jump up on the couch. LeRoy also has good recall when outside. So in a nutshell, LeRoy needs a one adult only home where he can be loved and the king.
