Interested in adoption? The first step is an application at www.paddyspaws.blogspot.com. Please do not apply if pets in the home are not up to date per our website requirements or are not altered. Wisconsin applications are priority, but Illinois applications will be considered if no small children are present in the home, the home is owned, and excellent vet reference can be provided. We cannot process applications from other states.
Josie is currently living in a foster home in Lake Mills, Wisconsin.
Meet Josie! She was found roaming one of Texas's largest rest stops. She was out there for nearly 2 weeks before she was caught. We aren't sure how she kept her distance that long because this girl turned out to be sweet as can be!!
Josie can be bashful during initial meet but give her a couple hours to settle in and she'll be attached to your hip. She's very affectionate and loves her people! She's ready to be active when you are or ready to snuggle up on the couch if that's what the day entails. Josie is housebroken, knows basic commands and easy to kennel. She's smart and eager to please. Josie would do best in a home with either no children or older children. She enjoys playing with her dog siblings, loves her walks/runs, has fun at doggy daycare and would do well living with other dogs close to her size but would also be fine as an only dog. I would do best without cats in the home.
Josie is a Rhodesian Ridgeback mix. She's 2-3 years old and 53lbs. If you'd like to welcome this fun, loving, velcro dog to your home please apply!
Josie is currently undergoing slow-kill heart worm treatment and will need a recheck in January 2019.
Our process includes an approved application, reference checks, a homevisit, and once
approved a meet and greet with the dog. Please note that preference is given to adopters in
Wisconsin, but out of state adoptions will be considered. Adoption fee is $250.
