My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet sweet Haley. She is 8.7 years old, and a too chubby 13 pounds. This adorable Yorkie girl is being fostered in St Augustine, FL. Haley’s adoption fee is $250.

UPDATED BIO 02/22/2018: Haley was surrendered to UYR by the only human daddy she has ever known because he is ill and no longer able to care for her. He knew that United Yorkie Rescue would find her the most wonderful, loving home that she had become accustomed to for all her life with him.

Haley has been in her foster home for a week now and has settled in quite well. She loves being outside chasing the squirrels; and she also loves just relaxing and sitting in the sun. Haley is especially fond of lying in her foster parents' laps - a lot! She gets along with the other dogs in the home, and for the first time in her life, she is learning about kitty cats.

Haley is house-trained and will let her foster mom and dad know when she needs to go out. What a smart little girlie! She needs a little more work with walking on the leash, but she will get it really soon with lots of encouragement. Haley will be seeing the Vet next week to have her vaccinations brought up-to-date and get a thorough well-doggie-check. If all goes well, this little princess will be ready for her forever home.

Initial bio 2-14-18 Haley lost her first mommy when she passed on a year ago. And now her first daddy is also very sick and no longer able to care for Haley. He had her since she was a puppy, but now he knows his time is short and he knew he could no longer care for Haley. With much sadness and a very heavy heart Haley was surrendered to United Yorkie Rescue. Haley's daddy knew the angels of United Yorkie Rescue would care for her and find her a wonderful forever home.

Haley is settling in and doing great in her foster home. She seems to like hanging out with her foster fur brothers and sisters and is already making herself quite at home. She is a very sweet little girl and appears to be in good health. Haley will be seeing a vet soon for a overall well-doggie check and will be updated on her vaccinations. Haley is a bit chubby at 13 pounds, and a much healthier weight for her would be 10-11 pounds. Her foster parents are working with her on a reduced-calorie diet.

Stay turned for more on sweet Haley as her foster parents get to know her better.
