Here's what the humans have to say about me:
King is an adorable 4 year old, 13 pound Yorkie boy being fostered in Sewanee. GA.
Meet precious King. King was born the day after Christmas 2014 which makes him barely 4 years old. King came from loving owners who had changes in their life circumstances that meant they could no longer keep him. King has been loved and cared for and is a going to make a wonderful pet for some lucky adopter. He is a snuggler, gets along with other dogs, loves play time, walks and car rides. He has a best friend in the form of a giant stuffed Teddy Bear that he loves (did we mention the Teddy Bear MUST be adopted WITH KING at no additional fee LOL). King also loves to sleep with both his bear AND his HUMAN. He would love to have a fenced yard but has not had that in the past so it is not a requirement.
King is practically a perfect dog except a couple of things. First, he still needs some help and patience in the house-training department as his previous owner didn’t have the time to help King perfect this skill through not fault of his own. One more important piece of information about King for potential adopters to know is that right now he is struggling to adapt to the presence of other dogs. In his former home, he was the only fur kid. He is NOT aggressive in the slightest but he is afraid of all other dogs right now even small ones. He wants to cling to his foster Dad and when foster Dad's other small dogs try to approach him he will run and hide under furniture. He has just been in his foster home a few days so it is possible this will change and he will relax eventually and perhaps the "right" dog might be okay. For right now, his Foster Dad things King would be best suited as an only dog but is willing to consider homes with one other very mellow non-alpha type pup if the potential adopters are aware that King is going to require lots of patience, assurance, and one on one time so that he knows he is loved and secure. Adopters with no other pups will be given first consideration.
We would love to find King his perfect furever home fairly soon so he doesn’t have to go through separation sadness all over again so if you think you might be his PAWFECT MATCH then apply to adopt him today.
