Bruno has had a slow start to a happy life. He was adopted by a young man who was living at home at the time. He was soon deployed and Bruno immediately became a “backyard dog”. He lived pretty much alone, seeing humans during feeding times, but that was only twice a day. So if his water tipped over or another creature cane and ate his food in the night, that explains his extremely thin body, and desire to drink a lot of water from being dehydrated. A fellow rescuer found out about him and offered to be Bruno’s saving grace. She contacted Beagles and More and asked if we had space for him. We feel no dog should have to suffer alone and outside 24/7, and especially a beagle, who’s desire to be with people and those they love is greater than life itself. The original owner had returned from deployment and moved into an apt that did not accept animals. Bruno continued his neglected life outside and luckily found his way to Beagles and More Rescie. We are hoping to locate a loving family that will include Bruno as an integral part of their lives in a daily basis. Bruno is learning so much since being an indoor dog in his foster home. He wants A LOT of attention and loves to drift off into doggyland dreams, on the couch. He knows to go to the door when he needs to go outside, he is learning how counter surfing can lead to a stern “No” and follows through with that direction. He just needs a chance to show you how devoted and willing he is to have a normal existence. We do think a calmer home would be best after spending all of those years fearing the unknown of the outdoors and possible teasing and tormenting of a passerby. We are located in Overland Park Kansas so expectations of potential adopters would be to make the drive in to meet this handsome young lad. Our website at, beaglesandmore.info, has our application .
