My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Jef is a precious, super-sweet purebred boxer. He was given up by his owner because he had fallen on hard times. It was obvious that Jef was loved by his owner and the man was crushed to let him go. But as his friend said, 'he has to get his life together and it's not fair to Jef. I have Jef half the time and he does the other half. Jef needs a stable home.'

Jef is fantastic with other dogs, cats, kids and people of all ages. He has a wiggle butt when he meets you. Jef is very over weight right now so a strict diet and exercise program is under way. He would make a great pet for practically any loving family.

Update from Shelley, Jef's foster mom September 7, 2009

Jef is doing really well! He is interacting with other dogs much better and the are responding to him in a positive way. He runs and plays all the time. He should lose a ton of weight while he is here. He is also mellowing out a wee bit and is less of a spaz. Jef is impeccably house-trained and knows some basic obedience commands and walks pretty well on a leash. He is very full of love and revels in any attention he gets. He is a real slob at the water bowl. We are all perfecting our snorty Jef imitations. :-)
