My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Meet the adorable Olive who came into rescue with her "sister" Caper. She will be joining us in Seattle on Feb 4th and would love to meet her new family right away. Olive seems like an old soul in a young dogs body. She is very cautious, timid and easily scared. She has become her foster moms shadow. She doesn't like to be alone away from her humans but does calm down after a bit in her kennel. She just loves to be loved on and we think with some love and patience she is going to make a wonderful companion!

She did initially show some fear towards big dogs and nipped at the one in her foster home when she first arrived. Since she has gained in confidence she hasn't done that  again but we think to be safe she needs to be around smaller dogs or similar size dogs for now.

Olive is already potty trained and crate trained. She is good with cats and other dogs once she gets to know them. She likes kids but might do best with older ones to slowly gain her confidence.Like her sister, Olive is a people dog and as such we would love to see her not have to spend hours alone each day. Currently  she will follow her foster mom around the house to see what's going on and has really become her shadow.  We think she would enjoy living with a family who are active and excited to introduce her to the Pacific northwest and all the exciting hiking and beautiful outdoors we have to offer. She has never been to a beach before!

Olive's favorite activity is to sit and snuggle, so make sure you have time in your life for some cuddles if you plan to adopt her!  As with all our dogs we do require that you attend a training class asap with your new pup- it's a great bonding experience and will help you both to succeed ! If you think you have the time and love to offer Miss Olive please read on for how to apply to be her forever people......

As a purely foster based rescue we have no central location at which you can visit our dogs, consequently we only honor meeting requests from preapproved adopters.  Please fill in our online application at www.myaarf.org as fully as you can.  It won't obligate you to anything or any particular dog but gives us a great place from which to begin the matching process.  Please allow 24-48 hours for a response from our busy volunteers. Adoption Fee is $350 which includes all transport, vetting (including spay/neuter) and microchipping.
