My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Are you looking for a puppy that loves to snuggle but who also enjoys the outdoors? Then look no further, Moss is the guy for you! Although he enjoys time with his siblings Moss prefers spending time with people and is looking for a family who can be with him as much as possible. He arrived in Seattle from Louisiana with his siblings on Fri 2/16 and is a fun loving piranha (-puppy) who is currently teething so be prepared for those sharp puppy teeth and have plenty of chew toys available.

Moss is a sweet boy who seems eager to please, friendly and adventurous though a little more cautious than some of his siblings. â€‹Like most puppies Moss enjoys exploring outside and wrestling and playing with the other larger dogs in the foster home. He is looking forward to mountain hikes and plenty of walks on the beach!

Moss is an active mix of breeds and as such will need to find a home willing to find the time to exercise and train him properly! He will need lots of toys to play with, and plenty of cuddles too!

As with all young puppies, Moss should not be left alone for more than 2-3 hrs at a time and is working hard on his potty training.  Part of our adoption contract is a promise to attend a puppy training class to ensure he has a great start learning the rules of life as a family member.  Are you ready to commit to training?  Do you have a hefty dose of patience?  Are you ready for puppy breath, cuddles, laughter and more?  Then perhaps Moss is the boy for you :)  Please do your research on the Catahoula breed before applying.  They are an intelligent and active breed and require a committed owner.  Also, remember that any time you invest into your pup will be returned ten fold!  Moss truly is a special boy and we want to find the perfect home for him. Please read on for instructions on how to apply:

As a purely foster based rescue we have no central location at which you can visit our dogs, consequently we only honor meeting requests from pre-approved adopters.  Please fill in our online application at www.myaarf.org as fully as you can.  Please allow 24-48 hours for a response from our busy volunteers. Adoption Fee is $400 which includes transport from Louisiana to Seattle, vetting/assessment (including spay/neuter at one of our approved vets), all shots (at our vets) and micro-chipping.
