My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi there, my name is Nancy. I was surrendered to Friends of Penny Rescue by my older, sweet parents. They have had me since I was a little pup but, as I grew I needed more attention and exercise than my parents could give me. So, my mom and dad decided to see if there was someone better suited to take care of me. My new foster mommy has put me on a diet because I’m a little chubby but she only did it because she loves me. The more exercise I get, the healthier I become. I love to chase my new toy, the “Lazer Light”, it is the best! I enjoy having lots of belly rubs and playing fetch. I really don’t know how I feel about small dogs. They kind of irritate me and I could live without them. When I was little I was trained to use puppy pads inside but I’m currently learning to go outside to a special area. My new foster mom has horses and they really scare me so I stay away. When I’m not playing, I love to lie down beside my foster mom and relax and get as many belly rubs as possible.

A word from my foster mom:

Nancy is packed full of energy and fun! She loves to play tug a war with her toys and has recently learned to fetch her squeaky toys. At first when you meet Nancy she is a little shy. But, over a short period of time she becomes your best friend. Nancy tries to be the dominant one in the family so she has to been shown some discipline and she is catching on quickly. . She has learned how to “sit” for toys and treats. Nancy used to jump on you when she wanted attention and now she has learned to “sit” quietly for love and affection. Nancy loves and needs lots of exercise so she would need a very active family. Nancy had previously been trained to use only puppy pads inside but she is currently working on potty training outside.

Nancy is schedule to have her spay surgery, vaccination and heartworm test soon. If you think Nancy sounds like the perfect fit for your family, submit your application for her today! If you have any questions about Nancy, please feel free to email tina@rescueminpins.com. Thanks for looking!
