My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Cronos is what we like to call a "project dog". Cronos was pulled off the Euthanasia list at one of the kill shelters here in the Central Valley. He was in the shelter for over a month before we found him. Based on our observations, Cronos was probably bought from a backyard breeder as a very young puppy and was not socialized at all. He was most likely kept in the backyard all his life until he became too big and his family decided he had too much energy and dumped him.
Cronos is very much still a puppy, he loves to play! Both with his humans and other dogs. We have noticed that Cronos is intimidated by other males dogs so he will need to be placed in a home with female dogs only. We 100% recommend he goes to a family that is vey active or has other dogs he can play with during the day.
Although he lacks social skills (in a goofy way), he is extremely smart and learns very quickly! Cronos has never had any training prior to being part of the Courage to Train program and has already learned almost everything we have to teach him. We are now working on more advanced training with Cronos and looking into ways to keep him busy mentally as well as physically as he has a good energy level.
Cronos is crate trained, house trained, knows basic obedience, and walks well on a leash as long as he has a corrective collar on. Cronos is good with other female dogs and small dogs although you'll need to supervise his interactions with small dogs as he may accidentally hurt them. A cat or other animal interaction can be done on request.
