TomTom is a terrific 2.5 year old Cane Corso boy that’s ready for his forever family to find him. Here are 10 things Tom wants his new home to know:
1. I was abused before I came to rescue. Even though I know nobody will ever hurt me again, I still sometimes get afraid when I’m in a new situation or when my foster mom talks to me in a stern voice. I never act mean, though, just a little timid.
2. I will bark when I meet strangers, but I’m wagging my tail the whole time. In general, I am very happy to be around people of all sizes and sexes. I’m very affectionate and just want to give all my love and attention to a family.
3. I think I would like to live in a quieter home. If my new home has kids, I’d prefer that they aren’t too young or rambunctious.
4. I would like to live in a home with another large female dog.
5. I don’t have much experience around small and medium sized dogs, but I don’t think I’d like to live with any dog under 40lbs.
6. I haven’t spent much time in the company of cats, so I’m not sure how I feel about cohabitating with one.
7. I enjoy playing with other dogs, eating, and snuggling. Sometimes I get carried away when I’m playing so if I go to a family with another dog, they have to be pretty patient or like to play rough too!
8. I really like to dig in the yard, but I usually stop when my foster mom tells me to. Besides, the only reason I’m digging is because I want to go find her so we can hang out.
9. I am housebroken, and can use a dog door. I know how to sit and am working on my leash skills.
10. I am current on vaccinations, microchipped, heartworm negative, and neutered.

Our dogs are available for adoption nationwide but preference is given to adopters willing to do an in-person meeting. Please understand that our dogs are not adopted on a first-come, first-serve basis, but rather we strive for a "perfect placement" so we know that they will not be failed again.
