My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Tucker is a big, beautiful Great Dane/Hound mix. He is just over a year old and is currently about 80 pounds, but we believe he will probably gain about 20 or so more pounds. Tucker is an owner surrender due to no fault of his own, they just thought he would be too much to handle because of his size with a new baby on the way. His prevous owners said he does not do well with cats and other small animals, because he thinks they're toys and plays far too rough with them. However, they said he loves other big dogs! He LOVES water as well! We were also told that Tucker is house and crate trained and that he knows some commands such as "sit", "lay down" and "okay", in regards to waiting for food. Tucker has experienced some abuse in the past by an old owner before the ones who surrendered him came along, so he still can show signs of being scared towards some men, but he is a huge sweetheart overall. Tucker really just needs a loving home that understands large dog breeds, where he can stay forever and not continue to be passed around! Tucker is house trained, fixed, mircochipped, up to date on shots, has been dewormed, is heartworm negative and is on flea and heartworm preventative. Our adopted dogs also receive a free vet visit, a free fecal and a free 30-day trial of pet insurance through PetFirst.
