Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Daisy came to rescue from North Carolina. She had transferred owners, and had been living outside in a 12 x 12 kennel. She came through another rescue and is high heartworm positive. When she arrived here, she had absolutely no social skills or manners, and was desperately in need of attention - so much so, that she would not let you walk across a room without her blocking your way, so you had to talk to her and pet her! Or she would come and sit in your lap! She was not housetrained, and had no leash skills. She did not know that she wasn't supposed to get on the counters, or steal food, or sit or stay somewhere when told to. She is learning these skills, and is becoming a much calmer, loving dog! She is crate trained, and well on the way to housetrained - you just have to remember to make sure she goes outside. Daisy Mae is enjoying the "luxuries" of being a house dog. She loves dog beds, and the human bed! :)
Daisy Mae needs a quiet home where she can have her heartworm treatment, and eventually a forever home of her own. Please consider helping Daisy. She will repay you with unconditional love and sweetness.
