My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This is Leileinoa. She is a 9 yr old, 7lb Maltese. She was rescued years ago from a puppy mill on island. But unfortunately, her rescuer began suffering from dementia and was surrendered to Hawaii Dog Foundation only recently.

Leileinoa arrived pretty broken--long toe nails, matted and missing hair, and overdue on vaccinations. It's going to take a while to get her healthy, but we're certain we can get her there. Already, after just a bath and nail trim, we can see that she is feeling better.
