Shilo is a sweetheart of a cat who has FIV. FIV, or feline immunodeficiency virus, is a virus that affects cats and only cats – people and other non-felines cannot get FIV. Infected cats can live long, happy and even healthy lives. FIV cats are more susceptible to illness, so it is important to keep these cats indoors, provide them with a high quality diet and address any health issue early. The virus is spread typically by deep bite wounds from fighting and not so much through casual contact.. Poor Shilo, he doesn't seem light a fighter in the least. Rather, he is a darling cat who lives to chat. He'll carry on a conversation as if you knew exactly what he was talking about.
