Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi there, I’m Topeka, named after the city in Kansas, though I’ve never been there! My former home was somewhere in the Gaithersburg area, but my owners moved away and didn’t update the address on my microchip, so here I am! I’m a big 4-year-old boy who has been dubbed a “toasted marshmallow” by the AWLMC volunteers due to my soft and fluffy white coat with orange trimmings. I’m a laid-back sort of cat, but become quite active when “hunting” bugs, or watching the birds and squirrels outside. I am well socialized and get along with other kitties as long as they allow me to have my own space. If you are in search of a love bug and a lap warmer look no further. I enjoy lots of attention and do make sure that you have a big enough bed for me to sprawl, as I will take up residence next to you to keep you warm at night. Until then, I’ll click my furry heels together, there’s no place like home, there’s no place like home (ruby slippers not included)…!
