I'm a friendly and curious girl who is about 5 months old (4/19/2009).
I am at the top of the energy scale with my sister Tamora. My foster mom refers to me as "little nascar" - I LOVE to run around and do big circles in the house - usually antagonizing my siblings to try to catch me. I'm pretty darn fast, so no one but the resident big dogs catch me! I also follow my foster Mom on most of the laps around the property after work - and we do quite a few!
I have some herding instincts, which means I like to nip - so my foster mom believes it's safest for all that I not be adopted out to homes with children under 12.
I am crate trained and doing well with housebreaking. I walk pretty well on a leash, too. We went on a big walk around a local park and I just pranced along like I owned the place! I started learning some basic obedience commands as well - though I'm not sure I'm really into that - I just like doing my own thing!
I like to chase balls and play tug, too. I've also started to climb logs - that's pretty neat! One of the resident dogs does it alot - I can see why - definitely a better view when you can get up above everyone else!
I also have the seal of approval as a "bonafide lap dog" - cause when I'm done playing I'm quick about seeking foster Mom out. Even if she's at her desk trying to work on stuff - I WANT to be on a lap, all snuggled and warm! (Sometimes I snore....but really not that loudly...)
I would do best as an only dog or with a large, older male canine companion. My foster Mom says I have a bit too much "attitude" - not sure what that means - but I admit, I'm pretty fussy with my siblings and the other pups that hang out here. What can I say - I like my space!
I've been spayed, dewormed, am up to date with vaccinations, and am on monthly flea/tick and heartworm prevention.
