My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Victoria is 1-2 yrs old, she is Spayed, UTD on vaccines (including Rabies), Clear Fecal, and Heartworm Negative.

A lot has changed in the few months since she was rescued. She has been getting accustomed to being a pet, living inside and being loved and cared for. She's had baths, sleeps quietly in a crate and is learning how to walk on a leash.

She is absolutely precious. Absolutely kind and gentle with my small dogs and plays with my husky mix. No food aggression at all.

She has been around cats and mostly just ignore them. She has also been around horses and small ponies.

We think the perfect home for Victoria would be one with children old enough to play with her in a big yard in a rural setting. She has been around a 1 yr old boy and is good with him. We could also see her doing great with a young active individual or couple that enjoy daily walks and hiking.

Other dogs would be great. She will definitely need a big fenced in area. (She is a hound and they are notorious for roaming.) Hounds are energetic and slightly hard headed. But they make up for it by being the most endearing, precious dogs on Earth. She does bark.... or..maybe more like the typical hound dog howl-bark. It's not excessive nor loud and she does it mostly in the evening, and mostly when she's alone. If your neighbors are easily offended by noise she is probably not the best dog for you. Hounds require down-to-earth owners with a sense of humor.
