Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi there! My name is Zena, and I'm a sweet, affectionate, and very playful brown Classic tabby DSH gal with green eyes who was born in March 2012. Classic tabby means that I have marble swirls on my sides instead of the usual mackerel fish bones. Nothing pleases me more than to lie next to my foster meowmy on the sofa or sleep next to her in bed. I luxuriate in getting petted as well as cuddled to my heart's content. I'm her constant companion and follow her everywhere: I lie on the bath mat while she's showering and next to her chair when she's working.
I have a lot of energy and frequently get the ‘zoomies’ where I'll just start randomly darting all over the house and give Meowmy the 'stink eye' when she laughs at me. I'm a girly girl who's always had a penchant for jumping in bags and boxes. I like to hang out on the top of cabinets, the refrigerator, and dressers, so a tall climbing cat tree would be right up my alley. I love to chase the laser pointer all over the room, and Meowmy's dangly necklace that she's wearing is much more fascinating to me than a fancy 'bought' toy.
I was adopted as a kitten but was surrendered to the city pound by my adopter for some unknown reason. Yikes! We all know what happens there to plain brown tabbies who aren't Maine Coons or Russian Blues. Fortunately, my microchip was traced back to Buster's Friends, and my foster meowmy gladly picked me up and brought me to her safe house.
She thinks that I would thrive as the only pet in my new home because I bask in human attention when I'm petted and cuddled, but my sociable personality is stifled by other cats as well as dogs. I'm a quiet girl, so I probably wouldn't do well in a home with loud small children either; I'd probably do fine with well-behaved older children.
If you're looking for a constant companion, I'm you're girl! So if I can be the one-and-only pet in your household, why don't you arrange to meet me? I have lots of affection to give, and I certainly love soaking up any attention that you want to offer me. We could begin our own private love affair and write new chapters in our lives together!
Zena is updated on shots, spayed, dewormed, microchipped, FIV/ FeLV negative, and ready for her indoor-only home. Her adoption fee is $100, cash or check payable to Buster's Friends. Please click the contact button if you are interested in Zena, and we can let you know exactly where you can meet her.
To adopt one of our cats, you must fill out our adoption application and be approved by one of our adoption counselors. To make the process more efficient, submit the online cat adoption application at https://www.bustersfriends.org/cat-adoption-application.
