My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Stevie came to us about 8 months ago, he was formerly called Fegan but that didn’t seem to fit him quite right. At first he was a little skiddish and recovering from the woes of life without love. When he was discovered roaming freely he was filthy and had a severely sunburned snout. He was boarded at a vet clinic where he received the necessary medicine to get him up to date on all of his shots. Unfortunately, he was also the recipient of a "cocker spaniel-esque” groom styling. His coat is still recovering from this grooming job. We believe Stevie is roughly 9 years old, although from time to time you would think he was much younger. Our Brittanys are 3 and 2.5 years old and still very willing to play 24-7. Stevie adapted well to his new life running around with the youngsters. He has tolerated them well and even enjoys his daily run of the yard with them. This dog wants nothing and craves nothing more than love and attention. He has been the perfect house guest- no accidents, no bad behavior. He is crate trained and enjoys receiving his treats on the way in and out. Stevie is most happy to spend his time outside, lying in the sun or receiving some loving attention after dinner. Although he is 9, we wouldn’t suspect him to be this old. He is lively and affectionate and has no medical problems that we know of. Stevie would be the perfect dog for an older couple or a family with older children. He has not been exposed to young children and we do not know how he would handle a situation like that but suspect he would do well. A fence is required for this adoption.

History:

Stevie was found as a stray on the east side of Louisville by a woman who contacted ABR to take care of him and find him a good home.
