My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Buddy is a 9 yr old, 30 lb. beagle/dachsund mix that is currently on a diet. He really should be around 20 lbs. His story is a sad one. His owner brought him and his friend Tootsie to the vet's office to be euthanized because she could not take them with her to the assisted living place that she was moving to. Luckily, Buddy caught the attention of the head of a TN rescue, that happened to have been at the clinic at the time, by wagging his tail and giving her kisses when she picked him up. Well, after that, she couldn't bare to let them get euthanized so she took them into foster care. They are currently living in TN and waiting for their forever homes. Buddy is house and leash trained, and is used to sleeping on the bed. He would make a great lap dog that will shower your face with kisses daily. He's a very sweet fellow that's got a lot of life and love left in him. Buddy's neutered and up to date on all age appropriate vaccinations. We recommend a mature home as Buddy and Tootsie might not have the energy level that a child would expect from his dog. Would you open up your home to Buddy? We would love to find a home that would take both Buddy and Tootsie, but it is not mandatory. Buddy's adoption fee is $350. For both Buddy and Tootsie, $650.
