My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I know that you can't stop looking at me! I am one handsome devil and I know it! My foster family makes sure that I stay humble and grounded though! So....I won't be offended if you stare a little longer than normal, I'm stunning, it is what it is. Take your time.

While at the shelter, I won the hearts of the volunteers and got lots of walks, day fosters and even got to do the county Wag and Walk monthly hike. In January of 2018, during that month's wag and walk, my friends noticed a lump under my eye and the fact that I had lost a lot of my weight. Lucky for me, Creative Contributions had a few people on that same Wag and Walk. They took me in to the vet the next week because it was believed that I might have an abscessed tooth. Long story short, my teeth were fine and we discovered that I have Valley Fever. I currently am taking flucanazole for my Valley Fever and my titer has dropped a lot. Of course, I could have told you that because as you can see, I am one good looking guy! My lump is gone, my weight is back on and I was definitely stunning during swimsuit season.Over time, my dosage will drop and if we are lucky, I will be able to stop taking it soon. Creative Contributions will cover my medication for a year post-adoption if it is still necessary. It really isn't that expensive though.

Here are some things that my foster mom would like me to tell you!

* I'm honing my play skills every day. I never knew how much fun toys were until I moved here.

* I am a rock star at restaurants and people always tell me how well behaved I am and I always use my best manners.

* I love to snuggle and play with my stuffed toys.

* I am crate trained and housebroken.

* I am good on my leash. I like to go hiking and am a big fan of stopping and smelling the flowers...especially at Boyce Thompson Arboretum.

*Although I do live with other dogs in my foster home, I need to be in a home where I can be the only pup. I would love to be the center of your universe.

*I spent the holidays with a visiting older gentleman who has Parkinson's Disease and I just seemed to notice whenever his tremors were getting rough and I would go over to him and have him pet me and I would help make his shaky hands settle down. My foster mom's eyes started leaking when I did this but I don't know what the big deal was. He needed some place to put those hands and my ears are always looking for a good scratch!

*This may be a dealbreaker.....you must love doggie smooches! I can give them all day long....and I will. So if you are concerned about dog germs, I'm not the pup for you. My foster mom keeps saying that I can't hold my licker and then she laughs....I'm not sure what that means but she says it's important...and funny.

* I also come with my own Instagram page RegalSmeagol1 and I would love to keep that going to stay in touch with my followers.

So, if you would like to learn more about me, please send an email to creativecontributions@mail.com (not gmail.) I would love to meet you and become your new best friend. Smooches!!!! Regal
