My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Say hello to Boomer, this sweet kitty was picked up by animal control just before the fourth of July. He was found laying in the grass and very dehydrated, but we gave him fluids and have patched him right up. He was very thin, but has a hearty appetite, front declawed, and neutered, he must have been someone's boy. He loves to be scratched behind the ears and curl up in the highest bed of the cat tree to soak up the sun. He doesn't mind the other cats who share his room, but would prefer to be where the people are if given the chance. If he knows you are coming to see him he will greet you boisterously, however if he doesn't know you he can be fearful at first. Go slow with him and you will soon find him following you around eager for attention. If you or anyone you know is looking for a cat, Boomer would make an excellent addition to any home. We do not know a lot about his history, so we can not speak to how he would react to other members of the family, but please call if you are interested in giving him a chance. We have nick named him Bagheera (from the Jungle book) as he is huge, very affectionate and (mostly) black cat who is eager to go on adventures! He has come so far in our shelter and now just wants a home of his own.
