Here's what the humans have to say about me:
I am a 3 year old Boston Terrier and my name is Linus. I’m pretty shy and not sure of my new life cause see I was raised in a cage. I have a lot to learn about living in a house and my foster mom says #1 is learning what the great outdoors is for, not sure what she means? Today I went on a leash for the first time and I didn’t like it much but I’ll learn cause I’m super smart. I can climb out of my 4 foot pen with no problem! My new family is going to have to be super patient with me cause this a scary new world for me. I’m going to get “fixed” this week whatever that means. Linus needs a family who has time for him and not to be crated all day
ARF'N accepts applications from people between the ages of 21 and 65. We would consider applications from potential adopters up to age 70 for our senior pets. This will be determined on a case by case basis. Active seniors would be considered as foster parents since fostering is a temporary situation.
ARF'N primarily adopts only to residents in the counties surrounding Hernando County in central Florida or within a 60-90 min. drive from the Brooksville/Spring Hill areas. The reason for this is that we personally conduct home visits for each of our rescued pets to ensure they are getting a safe home.
The application can be found here: http://www.arfn.org/adoption-application/
Email questions to: info@arfn.org. We do not have a phone number to reach us.
Our adoption fee for most of our dogs range between $100 and $250. Our dogs come fully vetted with spay/neuter, heart worm test, micro chip, and vaccinations.
ARF'N is a rescue operated by volunteers with full-time professional jobs during the day. We can't always get back to you immediately. Most of our rescue work happens in the evenings and on the weekends. It can typically take up to two weeks to go from application to adoption. More time is required for pets with multiple applications and during holidays. We do not adopt on a first come, first served basis. We find the best match between pet and adopter. Please be patient with us through this process. Rude emails will disqualify you from adopting from us.
