My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Rory is a 3 1/2 year old female who is currently being fostered in NY.
Update from the foster:
3/19/09 - Rory is doing great so far in our house. She gets along perfectly with my boxer, but is suspicious of our cat. Rory has never shown any aggression towards the cat, but just doesn't really understand why she lives in our house! She is eating well, a little too well; she is a touch overweight, but we are working on it. She seems to be pretty well mannered except for one thing -- counter surfing! We baby gate off the kitchen when we are gone and make sure things are picked up at night. Rory is otherwise allowed free roam of the house. She has had no accidents in the house and seems to be able to hold it for an amazing amount of time. She rides in the car well. No complaints! She's adorable!
Rory was however, diagnosed with a Hamartoma. This is a benign tumor which may increase in size but otherwise be harmless to her. She was seen at her previous DVM who biopsied and diagnosed the tumor. That DVM also recommended surgical removal of the tumors. She has one large one on the top of her head, another between her eyes and one on her right lumbar/flank area (which I am assuming is the same). Basically at this point the tumor is a cosmetic issue not a life threatening issue. She is otherwise healthy and happy.
