Felix is a young adult cat who was rescued from the Brooklyn streets. Probably dumped after being someone’s companion, Felix was hungry, friendly, and not thriving outside. Thankfully, he found a family who, despite being allergic to cats, cared enough to feed him until they gained his trust and he became a regular in their backyard, and to take him to the vet to be evaluated, checked for a microchip, and treated for parasites. Fearing for Felix’s life and well-being due to hostile neighbors, this family reached out to us for help. Given this family’s commitment to helping young and unneutered Felix, and since a cat had been adopted from Empty Cages just 2 days before, we agreed to take him in as a spot opened at one of our foster homes.
Felix is now neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, tested for FIV and FeLV, healthy, and ready for his new life to begin! He enjoys the company of people and other cats, though he is not a fan of dogs. Felix is shy at first but friendly and trusting once he feels safe. This boy is a lover, and he knows how to turn up the purring at the right time, and to greet his foster mom with sweet meows that make him sound like a kitten. He would love to find a family to give him all the love and affection that he's been missing, but also to play with and provide endless hours of mental stimulation.
