If you are interested in adopting Paddy and live in Colorado, a completed adoption application and home visit is required before any visits are scheduled. We are not physical shelter. All appointments will need to be scheduled. The form is located at: http://denversamoyedrescue.org/dsr_application.htm.

Paddy is a 5 month old male Samoyed puppy. He came to us not socialized, meaning he is initially afraid of new situations, and unfamiliar people. He has been fully vetted and in good health. Paddy a very sweet, playful, goofy boy and enjoys playing with other dogs. It is unknown his reaction to cats. Paddy is currently boarded and learning about leash training, potty-training and basic socialization with people. He has made significant progress in the last few days approaching people, taking treats from their hands, and being petted. He recently had his very first grooming session with our volunteers, which he tolerated very well, but continued grooming training will be required. He rides well in a crate in the car, but he will need further crate and/or dog-run training at home. He is a puppy, and will be mischievous if not properly confined when left unsupervised.
We are looking for a family in Colorado with no small children that can provide:
--- Calm environment, patience & time
--- Preferably a family member that can be home during the day, or has flexibility to be home over lunch for potty breaks.
--- A secure fenced yard (preferred)
--- Willingness to continue his socialization, and obedience training, plus patience for grooming sessions.
--- Preferably a home that currently has a dog that is confident, friendly, low-key and accepting of a young dog.
