My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Meet Huntley who may just be AARF's most handsome pupper. He has an amazingly beautiful and soft merle coat. Huntley is a great dog with a wonderful personality. He likes all dogs no matter how obnoxious they are to him, and is very tolerant and patient. He gets excited when he sees other dogs and will want to meet and play with them. Huntley will need to be crated when left alone, otherwise he might get a little bored and get too rough with your furniture and items in your home. He does great in his crate and does not whine or cry, even for long periods of time. Huntley would be great in a home with other dogs and older children. He could also be great with younger children once taught to be gentle with them. He can get excited and may inadvertently be a little too rough with younger children, but he's smart enough to learn quickly that it is not okay to jump up on them.    Huntley loves all toys and likes to take them apart to find out what makes them tick, so stuffies may not be the best option for him. He might be better off with balls, Kongs, chewies and rubber toys that will not succumb to destruction :) Please read below for instructions on how to apply: *As a purely foster based rescue we have no central location at which you can visit our dogs. Consequently, we only honor meeting requests from pre-approved adopters.  Please fill in our online application at www.myaarf.org as fully as you can.  It won't obligate you to anything, or any particular dog, but gives us a great place from which to begin the matching process.  Please allow 24-48 hours for a response from our busy volunteers. Adoption Fee is $375  which includes  transport from Louisiana to Seattle, vetting (including spay/neuter & shots) and micro-chipping.
